THE FILM

she walks in is a short animated music film that follows victoria, a little girl who's never questioned her limb difference, but after experiencing rejection because of it, she begins a journey from self-doubt to self-love, aided by her newfound passion for songwriting and playing piano.

THE TONE

she walks in explores innocence, adolescence, culture, disability, shame, self-love, and the power of music through the journey of a talented young singer/songwriter, Victoria, who has a limb difference.

We accompany her through the ups and downs of growing up, reckoning not only with her disability, but the growing pains of becoming an artist and finding her voice.

The tone itself journeys alongside the story; pure joy gives way to shame, which is pushed into the background by the steep but steady climb toward self-acceptance and self-love.
